Olex Cables Envirolex PVC free electrical cables
AIM:
Envirolex is a PVC free alternative for the cabling of the house. The
PVC alternative dramatically reduces the environmental impact while not
compromising the mechanical and electrical properties expected from the
electrical cabling system.
STRATEGY:
Environmentally Safer Materials
The cables are made from a variety of inorganically filled polyolefin
based materials designed to meet the performance requirements of the Australian
Standards for electrical wiring.
Some of the advantages of using PVC free cables are:
- Safe material in fire conditions
- Flame retardant/self-extinguishing
- Reduced acid, gas and smoke generation
- Non-corrosive in fire situations
- Reduced toxicity of fumes during fire
- Halogen free and so does not contain chlorine or bromine
- Lead free
- No special termination or installation requirements
- 90 deg C rated for superior thermal performance
- Conductor range up to 630mm sq.
