Wind Velocity & Direction Meter

CLOSE

ELEMENT:

Pacific Data Model WS-100/WD-100 Wind speed/direction sensors

AIM:

The wind speed and direction sensors are designed to be used in conjunction with the Datataker. The wind speed sensor responds to air velocity. The wind direction meter measures the direction that the air is flowing. The sensors draw their power from and then deliver the information to the Datataker.

SRATEGY:

The sensors are installed on a 500mm cross arm on the roof. The sensors are made from corrosion-resistant materials and are finished in matt white polyurethane to withstand being exposed to the weather. The high position of the sensors means that they receive as true a reading of the prevailing wind conditions as possible.
