Aquatherm Fusiotherm Polypropylene hot and cold water supply pipes

AIM:

Provide clean drinking water to the residents of the home, while reducing environmental impact by eliminating the use of PVC compounds.

STRATEGY:

Environmentally Safer Materials

To maintain the quality of the rainwater delivered to the occupants of the Healthy Home non-reactive, hygienically perfect pipes polypropylene water pipes were installed to transport potable water to each of the water use locations in the house.

The green polypropylene pipes are more chemically stable than PVC, hence more environmentally friendly and sustainable than PVC. Polypropylene (PP) also a hard wearing material that is non corrosive. They are also hygienically perfect, i.e. they will not contaminate the water that they carry.

They are light and easy to install, however the joins do need to be welded in place.

Greenpeace has licensed the producer, Aquatherm, to use the "future product approved by Greenpeace" logo on the Fusiotherm pipes as they contain no PVC and are easily recyclable.
