Australian Greenhouse Office

The Your Home guide is available free from the Australian Greenhouse Office. To get a copy go to their web site and follow the instructions. It includes a CD that contains the Your Home Technical Manual, which has extensive information on sustainable house design. The Australian Greenhouse Calculator
EPA Victoria

This calculator can be used online (go to http://www.epa.vic.gov.au/ and search for Australian Greenhouse Calculator), or you can purchase it as a booklet and CD-ROM computer program. It is used to calculate the amount of energy that you use around the home and in the car. The output includes detailed information about the amount of greenhouse and dangerous gases that your energy consumption produces. It also includes suggestion on how to minimise household energy use.

Global Warming, Cool It!

The Global Warming booklet contains hints and tips for reducing energy consumption around the home. It also contains comparisons of the greenhouse gases produced by various appliances around the home, e.g. microwaves ovens versus electric bench top cookers.
