ELEMENT: Grundfos 990 Watt Electric Water Pump AIM: An electric water pump is used to supply water pressure to all the taps in the Healthy Home. The main 22kL concrete rainwater tank is underneath the house so a pump is required to transport the water into the home. The rainwater tank near the carport is located on ground level, so water can be used from this tank without a pump. Water from this tank is normally used for watering the garden. The intake inlet for the pump is located about 200mm above the bottom of the tank to ensure that sediment is not sucked into the household water pipes. In some homes the rainwater tank is located at ground level so gravity supplies sufficient pressure for end uses such as garden watering. However, pressure (a minimum of 50 kPa) is invariably required for end uses such as toilet flushing, the hot water system and laundry. Click here for Technical Detail. |
