'Rain Dance' Water Filter

AIM:

A water filter is used to remove sand and dirt from rainwater collected on the roof of the house. Sand and dirt in the water can make it unfit for drinking and prevent the UV disinfection system from effectively killing pathogens.

The filter consists of an internal wool filter and a hard plastic outer case. The wool stops any particle bigger than 20 microns in size (one micron, or micrometre, is one thousandth of a millmetre) from entering the UV system.
